Teresa is a long time member of our team. She began working for All City Pet Care in 1999, before our Emergency Clinic had even been started! She truly enjoys our clients, and is a treasured member of our staff. Teresa is also a culinary artist! She has her Dietary Management Certification from Mitchell Technical Institute. She loves to read, cook, and hike. She lives with her husband and 3 eclectic cats.

Client Care Specialists
Debra is a beloved staff member who you absolutely cannot miss when you walk in our doors. She lights up the clinic with her contagious laughter and she welcomes all of our clients as if they were her family. She is a Sioux Falls native, and her favorite role in her life is being a grandmother. She has 3 long haired cats, including “Her Jim” whom she rescued. In her spare time she enjoys helping at the food mission, and other charitable activities, and a quiet weekend at the lake.
Kayla loves getting to know our clients, and finds it rewarding to be able to welcome familiar faces by name. She’s one of our friendly reception staff members, and a valuable part of our welcoming committee when you come to our clinic. She lives out on her farm with her many animals, LOVES horses and four wheeling, and shares her life with her 3 beautiful kids and her husband.
As much as Julie enjoys spending time with all the patients, her favorite part is being able to see them reunited with their family once they have recovered. Julie graduated with her BS in Animal Science from SDSU and then received her AAS in Veterinary Technology from Ridgewater Colleger in Willmar, MN. To unwind, Julie enjoys going horseback riding, gardening, and going out with her friends. Julie’s home is filled with a wide variety of animals. Aside from her 2 cats, Julie also has two 3 legged companions, A dog and a cat.
Tammy loves experiencing that moment when a patient goes from feeling sick to wagging their tail and wanting to play. She graduated from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, majoring in Veterinary Technology and minoring in business. Tammy is happily married and has one four-legged child. Tammy is also a Mary Kay consultant, and when she has free time you can find her reading a thrilling novel or relaxing with her family and friends.
Andrea is a strong believer in the human-animal bond, and strives to enrich the lives of clients and their furry family members every day. Andrea graduated with her AAS in Veterinary Technology from National American University in Rapid City, SD. She is fond of dental care, and client education. She enjoys painting, writing, and is an avid weight lifter! She enjoys life with her 2 boys and husband.
Alex is a calm and collected member of our Emergency Technician Team, and one of our hardest working individuals. He graduated with his AAS in Veterinary Technology from Globe University here in Sioux Falls, SD. He is a proud South Shore, SD native. He has two beloved dogs, a cocker spaniel and a Chihuahua- whose names are Ben and Zoey. He loves Hockey- he regularly attends Sioux Falls Stampede games, and loves horror movies.
Jenn came to us by way of Chicago, Illinois. She’s a Chicagoland native, and now resides in Vermillion with her boyfriend and cat Hinata. She graduated from Globe University here in Sioux Falls, SD with her AAS in Veterinary Technology. She’s a devoted Emergency tech who brings passion, composure, and an amazing work ethic with her every day. This is truly her calling. She loves movies and reading, and is a veteran of the armed forces.
Angie is originally from Minnesota, and has her BS in psychology, but decided her real passion was with animals. She received her AAS from the well known Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Denver, CO- where she lived for 5 years. Before coming to Sioux Falls, she also lived and worked in Jackson Hole, WY. She’s a fantastic technician with great experience and a welcome member of our staff. She’s newly married, and shares her life with her husband, daughter, dog, and cat! She loves the outdoors- hiking, camping, and football!
Stephanie loves that every day when she comes to work she is making a beneficial difference in a pet’s life. She grew up in Mitchell, SD and came to Sioux Falls for school. She received her AAS in Veterinary Technology from Globe University. You can find Steph frequently snuggled up with her dog and three cats reading a book. She also enjoys cooking, going out with friends and family and just enjoying the nice weather (when we have it!) outside.
Erin loves being able to make a difference in a pet’s life and see the bond between pets and their owners. She graduated with her AAS in Veterinary Technology from National American University in Rapid City, SD. Erin works in both the day clinic and the Veterinary Emergency Hospital. She is very athletic and travels around to compete in multiple triathlons/marathons throughout the year. Erin’s happy family consists of three dogs and three cats that keep her busy.
Ellie loves being able to see all of the different furry family members of families as they come to our hospital. Her favorites are the puppies. She graduated with her AAS in Veterinary Technology from Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN. She has two cats, 2 dogs, and a slew of chickens! In her spare time she plays softball, fetch with her dogs, and spending time with family.
Zach graduated with his AAS in Veterinary Technology from Globe University in Sioux Falls, SD. His favorite part about his job is being able to interact with clients and comfort them as they express concerns about their pets. He also enjoys working as a team with everyone at the clinic and has a way of turning stressful situations into more enjoyable moments. He loves spending time with his family and friends, reading, and taking his dogs for long walks. He and his wife recently welcomed home their first child, a baby boy.
Casey graduated with her AAS in Veterinary Technology from Globe University. She shows deep compassion for animals and is eager to help put the diagnostic puzzle pieces together to treat and heal sick patients. Originally from North Carolina, Casey is a huge NY Giants fan. She likes to take exercise classes at Kosama, relax by the pool and soak up the sun.
Tanya received her AAS degree in Veterinary Technology from Rochester Community and Technical College. She enjoys the “behind the scenes” action such as assisting with surgeries and preforming laboratory diagnostics. Her caring heart is put to good use working in both the day clinic and in the Veterinary Emergency Hospital. When Tanya isn’t with her work family, she loves spending quality time with her family, friends and fur babies. She has two cats and a tri-legged Dalmatian mix that keep her and her husband busy at home.
Stacey is one of our fantastic ER technicians. She loves to treat her patients, and send them home with wagging tails. For her, the real reward from her job comes from the special care that being an ER technician provides- saving a pet’s life means the world to her. She received her AAS from Globe University, and came to our clinic with some fantastic experience in both the large and small animal medicine. She enjoys going on walks with her new daughter on warm spring days. She has a dry sense of humor, calm demeanor, and focus that make her one of the clinic’s favorite faces.
Elexis is a passionate ER Technician who loves to see her patients regain their happy purrs and tail wags. She’s a recent graduate of Globe University where she received her AAS in Veterinary Technology. A Bruce, SD native; Elexis is now a happy resident of Brookings, SD. She is newly married and enjoys life with her little family- which includes her dog Rocky, her rabbit Sniffles, and “a bunch of fish.” They are all outdoor enthusiasts, and can often be found outside fishing or going for a walk with the dog.
Nikki is a strong ER technician who has been with our hospital since 2004. She began in reception and grew to be a valued part of our ER technician staff. She enjoys the fast pace of emergency medicine and has a passion for quality care for our patients. Her intelligence, work ethic, and leadership qualities make her a valuable staff member and her positive approach to every day always has her coworkers smiling! She enjoys time with her new daughter, her fiancée, and two dogs Daisy Mae and Gilbert (pictured) as well as shopping and reading.
Mike & Mary Jo Riter
Mike and Mary Jo Riter have been grooming pets for a combined total of 32 years! Before taking over our grooming operation, Mary Jo was a technician in the clinic. Mike and Mary Jo met 20 years ago, and a year later they were hitched! They’ve dubbed themselves “The best grooming couple in Sioux Falls” modestly because they assume there aren’t any other couples teams out there! They’re a warm, fun, caring, and goofy part of All City Pet Care Veterinary Emergency Hospital that we really couldn’t imagine our days without, and neither could our clients. They enjoy spending time “horsing around” training their 3 horses Jasper, Cider, and Ruby. Ruby is expecting a foal in the spring and they look forward to the fun of raising another baby as part of their family.
