Dr. Julia Johnson can be found with a smile on her face in our Veterinary Emergency Hospital. She enjoys the variety of cases the ER brings and that each day is different than the last. She attended Augustana University here in Sioux Falls for her undergraduate degree then went onto the University College Dublin in Ireland for her Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Johnson knew she wanted to be a veterinarian for her love of animals and medical sciences. She enjoys helping her patients in need by finding all the pieces of a puzzle to make her diagnosis. In addition to caring for her furry patients, she finds gratification in helping owners through these stressful visits. 

In her spare time, Dr. Johnson can be found reading, gardening, cooking, exercising, or spending quality time with family and friends. She has a German Shorthair Pointer, Annie, that she rescued in 2022.
